I using p90x and the nutrition level calculator says I should be eating 2640 calories, is that right?
I weigh 170 lbs, but it seems that eating over 2500 calories seems too much if I want to trim down. How much should I really be eating?
Hey, I am in the same boat. Just under 170 and working P90X. Keep in mind the guide allows for some leeway if you feel you are eating too much or too little.
I keep myself around 2200 a day, and simply remove a partial serving of each portion to keep it balanced. You can do the same if you feel like you are forcing the food down when you are not hungry.
Remember though, as you continue to program you will be doing the exercises better and with greater exertion. So at some point you may be wanting to intake more calories again to keep up. It’s just an estimate. Everyone’s body responds a but differently.
Best of luck. The program is tough, but it’s great.
