What happens to your body when you detox?

I interested in finding out what happens to your body while your on one of those diet detox’s. How does the detox cleanse out your body and how do you benefit?
Also are there any side effects of detoxing both during and after?

Well you detox because throughout your life your body gets filled with harmful substances and toxins. Eating packaged food, second hand smoking, living near a chemical plant, drinking unfiltered tap water (what can I say), etc. There are so many ways to get chemicals and all types of things into your body that will make you feel tired, sick, broken down. Detoxification methods can help clean you out of those chemicals, foods like green tea helps protect the body against free radicals, one of the substances that ruin you inside out.

Side effects of a detox? Only depends on what you’re detoxing from. People who are undergoing drug and alcohol detoxes will suffer withdrawal symptoms, not really from detoxing but because they are addicted, taking them away from alcohol and drugs causes a reaction to the body because it was dependent on those things.

Your body will be getting rid of toxins and chemicals during a detox, basically you’ll see real dirty stuff coming out of you than you would when you take a shower/bath =P
